Latin name: Terminalia belerica
Indian name: Baheda
Habitat: The tree is found in all decidous forests of India , up to an altitude of 1000m. It is found in abundance in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, and also in Sri Lanka and Malaya.
Useful in: It is useful in anaemia and leucoderma. Fruits are useful in vitiated condition of Kapha and Vata, sore throat, cough, diabetes, colds, asthma, indigestion, worms, tonsillitis, whooping cough, bronchitis, pharyngitis, vomiting, ophthalmopathy, skin diseases, leprosy, fevers, ulcers, and general debility.
